The color and brightness of the substrate surface under a top coat will affect the finished appearance. Swatches are powder coated aluminum panels for accuracy. If your order contains an out of stock swatch we will create that swatch for you then ship your entire swatch order. The cost of powder coating wheels depends on the size and depth of the rims and whether you pay someone else to coat your rims or do the work yourself.

When you have the particles from the powder coating sprayed onto your rims then they go into an oven to bake at high heat levels. If all swatches are in stock it will ship in 1 3 business days via ups overnight. This color is a polyester top coat powder coat and has a high gloss finish. Sterling copper powder coated wheels this is a single stage polyester with an 80 gloss level and a nice smooth metallic finish.

This process causes the coating to fuse together creating a curing process that will help to add another level of durability to the product. Transparent copper is a transparent dark orange copper. If you re paying a powder coating company to coat your wheels for you you can plan on paying around 250 to 520 for a base coat for rim sizes ranging from 13 to 26. Last a clear acrylic powder coating is sprayed on to seal and protect the finish.

This can take up to two weeks. Top coats are transparent. Then a very thin metallic coating is applied to the wheel in a vacuum chamber using an advanced electrical bonding method. First the wheel is coated with primer.
