Commence fixing sheets at the lower edge of the roof at the opposite end to the prevailing winds. Stagger the sheets using a half sheet to start the second row. To fix the sheets each tileform sheet has 5 troughs for securing we recommend you fix the sheet into trough 1 3 and 5. It is important that the maximum support centres given for the type of corrugated sheet being used are not exceeded between purlins.

The sheets should be laid to ridge apex to ensure sufficient weathering cover is provided. For corrugated sheets the fixings required will depend on the material used in the purlins. Step 2 position and fix an additional purlin at the ridge to take ridge fixings. Metal roofing resists rot is not susceptible to insect damage and is non combustible a boon in fire prone areas.

One downside is that the metal sheets have a susceptibility to denting both in installation and during hailstorms.
